Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan singh has said that Sardar Patel was secular and always worked for poor and downtrodden people. Inaugurating the Sardar Patel National Museum in Ahmedabad, Dr.Singh said that Sardar Patel was instrumental force in building India as we know it today. He said that Sardar Patel had unique administrative skills for which he was called Iron Man of India. Prime Minister Dr. Singh said that Sardar Patel was associated with Congress Party and always workhard to strengthen it.
Speaking on this occasion, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said that terrorism and Maoism are the big issues of the country. He appealed to the youth who have taken the wrong path to come to the main stream. Our Ahmedabad correspondent reports that Sardar Patel National Museum has been developed at the cost of 28.54 crores, out of which, 17 crore rupees were sanctioned by the Centre.
