Floods that killed 15,000 lives in city 105 yrs ago

On World Tourism Day today, it is apt to remember how city fought back a massive calamity
Many of the present generation Hyderabad is will be surprised to know that Musi river, which passes through the city, had claimed nearly 15,000 lives and rendered 80,000 homeless in one single night 105 years ago.An equally ignored fact by the governments is that Musi flood, which occurred on September 28, 1908, in a way symbolized the resurgence of modern city. On the occasion of the World Tourism Day.
