City-based scientist Dr Shaik N Meera received the prestigious ‘Young Scientist Leadership Award’ in agriculture, instituted by leading national agriculture magazine ‘Agriculture Today’, in New Delhi on September 19. He received the award from leading agriculture scientist Prof MS Swaminathan. Meera is currently working as a senior scientist at the Directorate of Rice Research at Hyderabad. He is recognised for his pioneering contributions to strengthen extension activities in Indian rice sector through innovative concepts and field impacts.
