Nissan Patrol has become the world's strongest car after towing a 170-tonne cargo plane.
The V8-powered Nissan Patrol was able to pull a Ilyushin Il-76 cargo jet, fully loaded with fuel and cargo, more than 55 metres to pocket the record at Sharjah international airport near Dubai, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Nissan's 2.7-tonne 4WD used a 298kW, 560Nm V8 engine to move the plane.
Australian specifications for the 2.7-tonne Patrol list its official maximum towing capacity as 3500kg.
