OASS movie won best film Award at Ladakh International Film Festival

Abhinav Shiv Tiwari's OASS, a movie on human trafficking, was named the best film at the second edition of the Ladakh International Film Festival (LIFF) on 15 September 2013. It also won the best screenplay, and Divya Chhetri was awarded the best actress for the same movie. The Snow Leopard trophy for Best Film comprises a cash prize of 200000 rupees to be shared between the director and the producer of the film.

Sewan Sing Yein won the best actor for KO:Yad, for which Manju Patra Borah clinched the best director award at the Ladakh International Film Festival (LIFF).

The international jury of the fest was chaired by acclaimed filmmaker Aparna Sen. The other jury members included Canadian filmmaker and South Asian Film Festival co-founder T.C. McLuhan. 

The second edition of the Ladakh International Film Festival was held from 13 to 15 September 2013 in Leh, Ladakh.

About OASS film
Oass (The Dew Drop), a debut feature by Abhinav Shiv Tiwari. The film portrays the injustices faced by the victims of child trafficking. It follows Kiku, a girl of great determination, as she attempts to return home from the dingy brothels of Delhi.
