Environmental action group Greenpeace on Monday disclosed that Coal India Ltd, which is the largest coal company in India, has extractable coal reserves of only 17 years.
The group also said that the company has concealed its true level of extractable reserves.
It has also filed a complaint with the Securities and Exchange Board of India seeking action against Coal India Ltd (CIL) for providing wrong data about its total extractable coal reserves to the investors.
