Ministry of Finance will look after FMC (Forward Markets Committee), which is the chief regulator of futures and forwards commodity market in the country. Earlier FMC was under the control of Ministry of Food, Department of Consumer Affairs. This decision was taken by NSEL (National Spot Exchange Limited). Approval was given by President Pranab Mukherjee.
