IRDA’s (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) Insurance Respiratory System (IRS) launched in Hyderabad by P. Chidambaram, Union Finance Minister. IRS will be the first of its kind in the world, as stated by IRDA. It will allow customers to store and track all their policies under a single electronic account. Insurance respiratory status was given to 5 companies. This status is valid up to 31st July 2014.
